This Cancellation Policy explains the terms that apply if a customer wishes to cancel a private yacht experience arranged with Sunchaser Yacht.
By requesting availability, confirming a booking or proceeding with payment, you agree to this Cancellation Policy together with our Terms & Conditions and Booking Policy.
1. Cancellation requests
All cancellation requests must be sent in writing by email to:
A cancellation is considered effective only from the date and time the written request is received.
2. Customer cancellations
If a customer chooses to cancel a confirmed booking, the following terms apply:
- More than 14 days before the scheduled departure date: full refund of any amount paid
- 7 to 14 days before the scheduled departure date: 50% refund of any amount paid
- Less than 7 days before the scheduled departure date: non-refundable
- No-show on the day of departure: non-refundable
3. Tailored or custom cruises
For cruises tailored to your needs, special routes, custom arrangements or any service involving specific planning or third-party arrangements, different cancellation terms may apply.
Where this happens, the applicable cancellation terms will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.
4. Weather and safety conditions
Sunchaser Yacht reserves the right to postpone, modify or cancel a yacht experience in cases where weather, sea conditions, safety concerns or operational conditions make the experience unsafe or unsuitable.
In such cases, Sunchaser Yacht will make reasonable efforts to offer one of the following:
- a rescheduled date
- an adjusted route or experience
- a refund, where applicable
5. Technical or operational issues
If a cruise cannot go ahead due to technical issues, safety requirements, port restrictions or other operational reasons beyond the customer’s control, Sunchaser Yacht will make reasonable efforts to offer:
- a new date
- an alternative arrangement
- a refund, where applicable
6. Force majeure
Sunchaser Yacht shall not be held responsible for delays, modifications or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- severe weather
- natural events
- government restrictions
- port authority decisions
- emergencies
- technical failures affecting safe operation
In such situations, Sunchaser Yacht will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative solution where possible.
7. Refund method
Any approved refund will be made using the same payment method originally used by the customer, unless otherwise agreed.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or banking institution.
8. Booking changes instead of cancellation
If you need to change the date or details of your booking rather than cancel it, please contact us as soon as possible.
Changes are subject to availability and acceptance by Sunchaser Yacht, and additional charges may apply depending on the requested change.
